Michael John's - French-American Steakhouse

I recently dined at Michael John's, a French-American steakhouse, and it exceeded all expectations. The service was impeccable, and the staff's friendly personalities added to the welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes, perfectly cooked by the talented chefs with top-notch ingredients. The extensive selection of draft beer and liquor enhances the dining experience. I give this a 10/10 the food was delicious so was the service. We loved it. Liz was my server. i got the moscatto & my partner got the filet migon burger & I got the filet migon with mash patatoes & brocilli. He got the double shot of henessy. & we got the pinapple upside down cake for dessert. Great vibes great misic great food great memories. Loved it. Thank you.

A cozy, warm, and romantic place to dine. Our server brought over complimentary bread and butter along with some sort of bean broth. Butter was subpar. We ordered an 8oz filet and the duck. The filet was extremely garlicky, which seemed to be more of a traditional way of making it. It was cooked to perfection. The duck tasted like Costco chicken at some points, but the raspberry sauce was a wonderful addition.

This is one of our favorite go to spots, whether a quick bite or special occasion celebration. You won’t be disappointed by the food, and the amuse-bouche (bite size appetizer) is always delectable! Pictured is my favorite salad- Bartlett Pear & Goat Cheese with my favorite cocktail- Pear Martini. Service can be a little slow at times depending how busy they are, but it is worth the wait. Acoustics can be a little loud too when packed, so be forth told should you be seeking a romantic dinner for two.

The flavor combinations are both classic and rarely found in Florida, making it a spot you'll want to revisit after just one visit. Let's break it down: As we arrived, the hostess warmly seated us even though we hadn't made a reservation in advance. We chose a table in a cozy nook separated by beautiful red velvet curtains, giving each dining area its distinct charm. After a short wait, a friendly bartender came over to take our drink orders. My husband and I decided to go for wine since we were planning to have steaks for dinner. Once the drinks were on the table, we dove into the specials menu. I went for their signature French soup, and my husband opted for the Tartare. Both dishes had just the right balance of spices, salt, and other ingredients, confirming that the kitchen excels at mastering classic gastronomic combinations After the appetizers, we moved on to choosing our main courses, and our lovely server suggested going for the duck confit instead of the steak, a choice I'm incredibly grateful for. The duck was juicy and tender, with a crispy skin that added the perfect crunch. Fresh broccolini sprigs complemented the duck with their vibrant freshness, beautifully adorning my plate. I'll definitely be returning to this intriguing place, not just for special occasions, but to indulge in the delightful fusion of French and American cuisine ♥️

When I made our reservations, I told the girl we had 4 adults and 2 children. She asked the age of the children and she was told 5 and 1. Nothing was ever said and when we showed up they informed us that they do not have high chairs. It would have been nice if we were told this at the time of the reservation as I have never been to a restaurant that does not have high chairs unless they say No Children. The service was good but not great as would be expected at a place with a $500 tab. I will have to say, the Calamari was the best I have ever had. Two of the steaks had to go back as they were rare. The waiter should have listened and allowed us to decide to have them cooked the way we prefer, not what he suggests. I ordered my steak med/well and he said I should order medium as they tend to over cook them. Of course it came out too rare still oozing blood.
